All About AAL
The story of All About Love began in 2014, with a group of friends who loved music and wanted to do something exciting and meaningful, so they decided to organize a concert and channel the proceeds of the event to a selected charity.
After the success of their first concert, which saw them raising over RM2,000 to support the Buddhist Gem Fellowship’s Center of Performing Arts Department, the friends realized that they had found a fun way of combining two of their biggest passions – music and supporting a good cause – into a project that they could develop and expand into an event that would make a positive contribution to society. And so with that realization, the All About Love choir and benefit recital series was born.
That initial group of friends started recruiting more members to join the choir, taking in interested participants from all walks of life – whether young or old, professional musicians, amateur performers or complete musical beginners. They also laid the foundation for the benefit recital series by establishing the format of an annual concert aimed at fundraising for a selected charity. The next year, the second All About Love concert successfully raised twice the amount gathered in the previous year, this time in support of the National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM), and the venue sponsor for the event.

In 2019, the All About Love society was formally registered with the The Registry of Societies Malaysia (ROS).
Today, the All About Love choir and benefit recital series continues to find new ways to help its members explore their love of music and support worthwhile causes.
In addition to the concert – a highlight of the yearly event calendar – the group also takes part in community outreach activities, such as holding music-related workshops in collaboration with non-governmental organizations. The All About Love choir is always open to new members – no prior musical experience is necessary.
About The Choir
The All About Love community choir was created in 2014 and we are best known for our regular All About Love benefit recital series, which has raised over RM52,043 in the last 6 years for various worthy causes. We also engage in collaborative community out reach projects, to help encourage a love of music and performing in Malaysia.
Musically, we enjoy exploring and performing a wide repertoire, ranging from classical to folk to pop, and even our own commissioned compositions.
As a community choir, we are open to anyone, regardless of race, religion or gender. As we are a registered society in Malaysia, you do need to be at least 18 years old and a Malaysian citizen to join. Musical training or experience however is not necessary.
